Reading Adobe PDF files

| ReadPlease can read Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf files).
|
|
|
| Many users are not aware that you can copy text to the Windows clipboard from within Adobe Acrobat Reader.
|
|
|
| There is an extra step for Adobe files that is required. Without knowing this trick ReadPlease will not be able to read Acrobat files.
|
|
|
| 1. | Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader as you normally would
|
| 2. | Click on the Text Select Tool - highlighted in red.
|
| 3. | Now you are ready to select text as you would normally expect
|
| 4. | Copy to clipboard and Paste it into ReadPlease
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| In newer versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, there is also a Column Select Tool. With this tool you can select a rectangle of text from anywhere in the document. Only use the Column Select Tool if the Text Select Tools doesn't select what you wanted.
