| The File menu has many of the items you are accustomed to seeing in any Windows program.
|

| The uses of hotkeys are also shown for easy reference. For example, if you want a New document in the main document window, you can press [Ctrl]-N .
|
|
|
| If you see a character underlined (File | Open ) it means that rather than clicking on it with your mouse, you can simple press the "O" key.
|
|
|
|

|
| Summary of File menu:
|
| · | File | New will clear whatever text you have in the main document window and create a new blank document.
|
| · | File | Open will allow you to open any files ReadPlease can read directly.
|
| · | File | Close will close the document in the main document window. ReadPlease will not be shut down. To shut down (or exit) ReadPlease use File | Exit.

| · | File | Insert will insert a file into the current document displayed in the main document of ReadPlease.
|
| · | File | Print will print the entire content of the document you are viewing. If you are viewing the main document window, then that is what will be printed. After selecting any Print operation, you may preview the document and set margins.
|
| · | File | Print selection will only be active if you have selected some text in the main document window. This will print just the text you have selected and not the whole document. After selecting any Print operation, you may preview the document and set margins.

| · | ReadPlease will display a list of your recent files you have opened.
