Associating with other file types

If you want ReadPlease to automatically open other files when they are Clicked on in My Computer, from Internet Explorer or from Windows Explorer, follow these steps.

þ Step by Step

1.

In Windows Explorer, navigate to a file of the type you want to associate (.txt). Note: You can launch Windows Explorer with Start | Programs | Windows Explorer

Click on its icon once to select it.

3.

While holding the [Shift] key down, right-click on the icon.

4.

In the pop-up menu, choose Open With... and a box will open asking you to choose a program to open that file type.

5.

Pick a ReadPlease program from the list.

6.

If you always want ReadPlease to open these types of files, place a check mark in the box that says: Always use this program to open files of this type.

Tip

You can also change file associations in Windows Explorer by going to:

View -> Folder Options -> File Types.
