ReadPlease enable website content

This is a simulation of how a web site could easily allow visitors to hear the content using ReadPlease. The visitor must have ReadPlease, or ReadPlease PLUS installed on their Windows-based computer.

To try this out, click on the ReadPlease icon on the image, then select "Open" when dialog box appears in Internet Explorer.
Tip:
Uncheck the option to Always ask, and the Dialog box will no longer prompt you to open ReadPlease files.

It is simple to do this, just make a text file with your content, call it something.rpps, and make a link to it. See detailed instructions below.

Simulation of ReadPlease-enabled web site (63K)

If web sites post text files as .rpps files and link to them, then visitors using ReadPlease, or ReadPlease PLUS may just click on the link and ReadPlease will start reading the text automatically.

Click below to try out this example on our site.
Click to read the file testwebpageread.rpps

This is accomplished by simply having a text file called:

testwebpageread.rpps

This file contains this text:
This is a small sample of how a web site could post ReadPlease documents for users to click on. That is all for now.

Perhaps more and more web sites will decide to make their sites "ReadPlease friendly" by linking to .rpps files. If they insist on advertising, perhaps some advertising could be inserted in the file as text.

If you know how to use HTML, then this is the code you would place on a web page to link to a ReadPlease file:
<a href="restwebpageread.rpps">Read the test file now!</a>

You would have to upload the .rpps file to your site for this link to function.
*Please Note
ReadPlease or ReadPlease PLUS must be running in order for this to work.

Reason:

If ReadPlease 2003 (free version) is running, then .rpps files will launch with it. If ReadPlease PLUS 2003 is running, then .rpps files will launch with it.
For reading webpages directly, you may want to try out ReadingBar for Internet Explorer.
